Dentistry is an exciting adventure, and at the School of Dental Nursing, we do everything we can to support you through this new chapter of your life.

Our support services are available online and in person to support our entire student community whether you are attending face-to-face classes or studying online. Our academic tutors and administrative team are here to help you with all aspects of your course and learning experience to enable you to achieve the success you deserve. The following gives guidance on how to access additional support/guidance as required:

ACADEMIC

If you have any problems with the course content, experience specific difficulties or feel that you are falling behind please contact your tutor as required. Contact details are provided at your course induction.


TECHNICAL/ADMINISTRATIVE

If you need technical help such as accessing your eTrain account or have any administrative queries please contact the administrative team.


FINANCIAL

If you have any difficulty in meeting the course fee instalments, please contact the administrative team at the earliest opportunity.

YOUR EMPLOYER

Any problems encountered in the course of your employment should normally be referred to the practice manager in the first instance. If these problems cannot be resolved or you have concerns about employment practices including such matters as harassment or adherence to GDC protocols then you should contact the SDN Admissions Manager, Ms Carlie Cook, who will investigate the matter in complete confidence. EMPLOYMENT AND CAREERS

We have a range of ways in which we can support you with matters related to employment and career development. These include finding employment with a dental practice as a trainee and finding permanent dental nursing jobs after qualification.
